FARM
Rooted in Tradition.
Raised with Purpose.
In the rolling hills of Pennsylvania’s Lykens Valley, just 30 miles north of Harrisburg, Lykens Valley Bison is continuing a proud generational farming legacy — with one of America’s most iconic animals, the Plains Bison.
Owned and operated by Kimberly and Duane Stroup,
alongside their son, Alexander, the farm currently cares for a thriving herd of more than 60 bison. What began as a passion has grown into a purpose-driven operation focused on sustainable agriculture, responsible herd management,
and raising premium Pennsylvania bison meat.
Operating under a cow/calf production model, the Stroup family prioritizes animal welfare, land stewardship, and long-term sustainability. Every decision — from pasture management to herd health — reflects their commitment to preserving both their family farm and
America’s National Mammal for future generations.
